Did you know?
Weippert Kunststofftechnik, the specialist for glass fiber reinforced plastic screws.
Our standard plastics have a glass fiber content of 30%, 50%, or 60%. As a result, our screws achieve significantly higher tensile and torque values compared to other plastic screws.
We also produce screws from PEEK with glass fiber content, PE, POM, ABS – in short, all common thermoplastics. Upon request, we also produce in color.
2. Technical specifications of WT screws and WT fasteners
All plastic screws and nuts share four common characteristics that fundamentally distinguish them from all metal screws:
Resistance to corrosion, resistance to contact corrosion.
no electrical conductivity
no thermal conductivity
3. LOWER TRACTIVE FORCES AND TORQUES: WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR YOU?
Considering these conditions, constructions can be newly designed, especially in lightweight construction.
The variety of plastics enables the implementation of many required chemical properties such as low electrical conductivity or the reverse, chemical resistance to fuels, lubricants, solvents, and cleaning agents, weather resistance, UV resistance, food safety, acid resistance. Another advantage is individual color customization.
To improve the mechanical properties, we have modified the head geometry of the WT screws.
Details of the modifications can be found in our product descriptions.
Not only the WT screws but also our WT washers have undergone adjustments. For example, the inner and outer diameters have different heights. This compensates for the creep properties of the plastic, improving sealing on the contact surface, for instance.
Using our standard molds, we produce WT screws from plastic (our standard range of PA with various glass fiber contents), such as hexagon screws, TX drive flat head screws, cylinder screws with internal hexagon, and countersunk screws, as well as hexagon nuts and washers in sizes M2 to M10, in lengths from 10 to 80 mm.
Our WT screws and nuts have metric standard threads and are thread-going or thread-holding.
Many specific connecting parts can be made from plastic.

The possibilities in the field of plastic connecting elements are vast: electrical and electronics industry, plant and tank construction, robotics, gripping technology, automotive industry, furniture industry, water and wastewater technology, medical technology, automation, measurement, control and regulation technology, and many more.
Many things are achievable - we are always open to finding innovative solutions.
4. Polyamide (PA) with various fillers and filler contents
Common properties of PA - good electrical insulation, stiffness, good chemical resistance to fuels, lubricants, solvents, and cleaning agents.
The mechanical and physical properties, especially tensile strength, are subject to environmental conditions.
Practical testing is recommended.
For tightening, use a torque wrench or torque screwdriver.
Recommended value = 50% of the breaking torque.
